Generally, I haven't been able to find any local support groups / 12-step programs for internet addiction. (There are ones online however! It's like holding an AA meeting in a bar!)
As an alternative, I'm attending a local non-webaholic group. Possibilities include:
- Alcoholics Anonymous — The biggest 12-step program. However, their definition of recovery is complete sobriety, which isn't necessarily the best match.
- Overeaters Anonymous — This is a much better fit. Their goal is not (and obviously can not) be to stop eating completely. Rather, the goal is to abstain from all compulsive eating. While this ambiguity can make things difficult, it's not really appropriate to say "I'll never use the internet again".
