Google's Find My Device

"Find My Device" is a new feature on Android phones that allows devices to be tracked in the same way as AirTags work. Its expanded network was launched in April 2024.

How to get it working:

  1. Install the Find My Device app; the same functionality can be accessed from the web-based Find My Device.
  2. Check if your OS version supports Find My Device: Open the “Find Device” app, tap on your profile picture, and then tap “Find My Device settings.” From there, you’ll know if you have the network live if you see “Find your offline devices” and the menu it brings.
  3. List of tracker tags compatible with Find My Device (click the "Check out featured items" button).
