personal conventions I use at the command line

Ways to quickly update things:

• upos — Update the OS packages. This should do the right thing, based on the local OS (e.g. apt update etc), but this is yet to be implemented.
• upw — Update the root index page of paperlined.org.
• updot — Update my dotfiles. Do a git-pull, then run deedot.
  • updeedot — Like 'updot', but without the git-pull; runs deedot only.
• upce — Update my 'copied_everywhere' folder (that I typically only use on work servers)
• upssh — Update my ~/.ssh/install script (that I typically only use on work servers)

There are groups of commands with a prefix:

• prefix 0 — These generate, filter, or consume lists in the style of find -print0 and xargs -0. That is, they process a Unix pipe that's a loooong list of file names.
• prefix @ — The 'at' version of each command does everything it can to display that command in color. (for example, if top is black-and-white, then @top has a decent chance of being colorized)
