I call them "half earplugs" because they usually cut the noise level about half as much as regular earplugs, and they also say they try to make conversations more legible. They happen to be much more expensive than regular earplugs.
Loop — They have almost way too many options ("choice overload" is a known psychological effect). Their "Help me choose" page is really helpful.
cons — The tiny flexible "tab" that you use to pull it out can get lost, making them very frustrating to remove at times. (however, they have a connector cord that makes them easier to remove)
