I seem to need like 4 garage-door remotes... one for the car, one for the bicycle, one for the
motorcycle jacket, and one when I go out to take a walk.
Also, there are some cool installations of garage-door openers in cars, where they send out a
signal if you briefly flash your hi-beams. (that'd be particularly useful on the motorcycle, of course)
A couple ways to do the above:
- buy extra transmitters that are made by the same manufacturer as your garage-door opener
- buy "universal" transmitters that are compatible with your garage-door opener
- install a new receiver that's more "universal" than your existing opener, or that comes with its
own transmitters.
Places to buy one of the above:
- SmartHome
- AClickAwayRemotes.com' receivers (some of them are bundled with transmitters, and I assume many of them can be plugged into the two-wires for the wired switches?)
