So, I bought a HDTV without a tuner. "I'll never need one", I said, "I live too far out, and don't mind paying for cable". Then I moved to Chicago, and wanted to save money.

- QAM is reported to work a whole lot better on this with MCE than the Hauppauge.
- However, if you ever want to do basic analog cable, you can't do that with this, since that's NTSC.
- Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1800, $100 — requires either XP MCE or Vista Premium/Ultimate

- AVerMedia AVerTV Combo PCIe, $110 — requires either XP MCE or Vista Premium/Ultimate
