They would be used something like this, except instead of shooting fish, it would be used for arborist throw-line placement.
I'm generally looking for something kind of compact, especially that I could take hiking with me. From what I've read in forums, the Big Shot throw weight launcher is considered the gold standard for long-distance accurate placement. However, I'm mostly looking to do short-distance line placement right now.
It would take some time to get used to shooting it, and I have far too many projects and far too little time right now.
