I call them "half earplugs" because they usually cut the noise level about half as much as regular earplugs, and they also say they try to make conversations more legible. They happen to be much more expensive than regular earplugs.
Cons — Has a small flexible tab, which can make it difficult to remove the earplugs. (however, they have a connector cord that makes them easier to remove)
