Customers' initial impression
Sports-car drivers have an obvious attraction to attention-grabbing accessories (most obviously, see the beyond-outrageous spoilers, and those won't come close to the size that our eyestalks will). Better yet, this is a "form follows function" product, i.e. it satisfies a real need, ultimately it isn't motivated by the desire to have the most eye-catching profile possible.
Having one of these on your car makes it immediately clear to everyone that you don't kid around when you're driving down the expressway.
(if we actually go ahead with the head-mounted-display idea, then this is doubly so — driving with LCD goggles on is kind of freakish)
