- After I get some wire-frame drawings of the concept, ask Winsor for further practicalities to consider before going ahead. I'm sure he'll have some engineering-oriented thoughts, even if some of his criticisms are essentially equivalent to "stop thinking outside the box!"
- In case I end up dropping this project for any reason, try to package the design work done so far in a nicer user-friendly package that might make it easier for another engineer to pick up where I leave off.
(The main thing that motivates me to work seriously on this project is that it's obvious that someone somewhere will eventually build this; it's inevitably a part of the future world. The fact that Google seems to indicate that nobody else has had this idea compels me to make progress on the idea, even if only a little bit)
(this is also the reason I'm considering manufacturing-cost/market concerns as well, since even if it's home-built at first, Lamborghini drivers will eventually be interested in a polished and reliable/safe package)
- OH GOD, it's much more complex than I'd thought, at least if manufacturer issues are taken into consideration (see financial risk). Maybe we should ignore those for now? Even for strictly DIY projects though, structural integrity is nonetheless a much bigger issue than I'd initially thought. (unless you have absolutely no concern about whether your car gets totally scratched up)
- Well, at least get some drawings done, since that would do the most to convey the work I've done so far to another engineer.
