winter travel advice
Note that a lot of roads are
closed during winter
, and
many of the offices have reduced hours
All vehicles are
required
to carry tire chains when traveling in the park during the winter season. This applies to rental cars as well. "some stores may accept returns of unused chains"
climbing advice

Wilderness permit / Climbing permit
is $20 per group, is required for all overnight camping
Climbing pass isn't required as long as you go no higher than Camp Muir
Park entry fee is $15 per vehicle
