If you have a barometer with you, then being aware of falling pressure can be useful:
surface weather analysis
— high-pressure and low-pressure maps
isobars
— used to convey pressure on maps
low-pressure area
— a confined area, smaller than a front; associated with cyclones or developing cyclones
high and low pressure systems
weather front
— ctrl-f for "pressure"; there's a complex relationship between pressure and fronts
pressure gradient
