  • the focus issues are really annoying
    • however, they're working to fix them ASAP. Relevant changelogs:

  • it's not open source, so you can't tinker with it to fix it
    (I mean, I could try to tinker with it from the outside [via Autohotkey], but what's the point? This thing should be open source!)

Alternatives

• Cygwin + ssh
  • a real OpenSSH offers some features that Putty doesn't
  • puttycyg pulls Cygwin into Putty (though you can just use normal putty to ssh to localhost)
