It makes sooooo much more sense to use newlines as a delimiter with xargs!

find ... | xargs -d '\n' grep ...

On Solaris/AIX/HPUX where GNU tools aren't available:

alias xargs_newline="perl -le 'while(<STDIN>){chomp;system @ARGV, \$_}'"
