Why Paperlined.org?

Because it seemed like a lot of the obvious names have been taken already and people are resorting to crazy names.

Methodology

The program is simple:

Choose two random words and concatenate them. For instance "paper" and "lined" result in "paperlined".
Check the whois records to see if any of the .net, .com, or .org version of those are available.
Do a google query to make sure they occur next to each other some where on any web page out there.
The human picks their favorite.

Alternatives

These names were available in 2001 when I set up paperlined.org. If you use my program unenhanced, you'll probably have to go through hundreds of these.

Enhancements

Results could be sorted by how often they occur on the internet. In my opinion, this tends to weed out some of the more witty alternatives. (not that paperlined is witty...)

As suggested by the last one there, a pronouncing dictionary could be used to select entries which rhyme. It's been implemented, and some of the more interesting results are:
