The overall point is that we should treat all humans at least as well as we treat our animals. And, arguably, humans deserve to be treated better than other animals. In some cases, I feel that animal rights and anti-racism efforts are in conflict with each other. In other cases, I feel they're part of the same goal of ending oppression for all.
