car-as-office TODO
- Put at least one 3M Command cable bundler on the dash, near where cables would exit to go up on the roof.
- Maybe put a second one near the right side of the laptop?
- Is there a way to get power sent through the USB hub that I use? So that I only have to plug one cable in when I bring out the laptop?
- Check to see if my special DisplayLink-compatible dock at home can be powered by something in my car — either the USB power, or the cigarette lighter.
- If I'm going to stay with the Anker USB hub that I bought, then I'll probably have to buy one or two USB-A-to-USB-C cables
less polished thoughts
- Some powered hubs, that also have HDMI ports, and therefore would work for both car and home:
- There's also these standalone cables that add an extra HDMI cable, all by themselves. [2]

- According to this document, my work laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Both of these support DisplayPort 1.4a.
- You'll want to look for USB C ports that have this logo on them.
