The goal is build something like this sawbench, except the legs will be 5 gallon buckets instead of wooden legs. It'll basically look like this.

And there will be a vertical bolt that secures each bucket to the bottom.

Buy list

• 4 fender washers (two per bucket)
• 2 bolts
• 2 nuts
• 1 2x4 that's 8 feet (96") long
• maybe more 2x4 for the cross-members?

I want to have a piece of wood that circles each bucket, to provide lateral stability. What size should it be?

• Of the buckets i have in my possession, they range from 26.0 to 26.5 cm.
  • Home Depot — 10 1/4"
  • Advanced Auto Parts — 10 7/16"
  • DoIt Best — 10 3/8"
• This page mentions the bottom ranges from 10.2 to 10.5 in, or 25.9 to 26.6 cm.
