- check out Working Bikes (open Wednesday and Saturday)
- see if they have another bike very close to my current one (a Gary Fisher, or Specialized, or Giant)
- Alex @ WestTownBikes examined my Fisher and said that the bottom bracket is starting to become oval through wear, so even if I were to overhaul the drivetrain, the frame itself won't last forever.
- see if they have any cyclocross bikes.... per this research, it looks like the only way I'll have true drops on a mountain bike is to get a cross bike instead
