Compaq 2510p
- I requested a slightly more compact laptop, to make it easier to carry in my backpack while bicycling. And oh boy, is it!
- specs
- 2gb RAM, 120gb HDD, 1.2ghz Intel Core2Duo
- LCD: 1280×800, 12.1" diagonal
- outer dimensions: 11.1 × 8.4 × 1.2 inches
- weight: 3.4 lbs
- price: OMG — shockingly high, considering it almost looks like a netbook
- it DOES look-n-feel a bit like a netbook
- its keyboard layout isn't too different from the EEE PC. This has separate home/end/pgup/pgdn keys, which most netbooks don't have. However, those keys are significantly smaller than any other key, so classifying them as "separate keys" isn't 100% accurate.
- a recent EEE PC (the 1201N) is 11.7 × 8.2 × 1.2 inches, which is almost the exact same size as this
- perhipherals
- hard drive
- 1.8" drive (!!)
- PATA (ATA-100)
- 120gb
- 4200rpm
- wifi chipset: Broadcom BCM4311
- 802.11b/g
- Linux driver: b43-pci-bridge
- get patches for injection+monitoring here (or maybe here)
