Doing sysadmin work means having to organize a lot of information:
- Design docs (what are the services that each box is designed to provide?)
- Implementation details (configuration of boxes / network, login info, etc)
- LOTS of procedures (how to add new users, etc etc)
A wiki is good for this.
What wikis do other sysadmins use?
